Even if you choose not to stay at our properties again, we appreciate the business you bring to Savannah nevertheless. I truly want to thank you for being a return guest to Savannah and finding it a historical treasure like we do. This helps especially for guests venturing to River Street & City Market who don’t want to continuously pay meter machines or search for change. Parking is always a bit difficult in Savannah, which is why we purchase & sell city passes that guests can use in any metered spot in the downtown area. We do list this fee ahead of time & on our website to make sure our guests are fully aware before they book. Our amenity fee includes not only breakfast, but wine & Hors d'oeuvres, dessert & cordials among other additional perks that our guest can use in a variety of locations in Historic Savannah from dining to shopping. We truly wish we could have assisted you during your stay and provided a more comfortable experience. It is unfortunate that you did not enjoy all aspects of it. Hotels near Eliza Thompson House, Historic Inns of Savannah.By the second evening, he was singing the praises of the property and thanking me for insisting on the Eliza Thompson house. When we arrived, my husband was quite the grouch because they do not accept pets and it wasn't one of his chain hotels where he can use his business points. Finally, it rained every day we were there, and the hotel had umbrellas for us. We didn't make it to either of those, but there's a great supply of cold water in the lobby, too. They also have hors-d'oeuvres and wine at Happy Hour along with port and dessert in the later evening. The breakfast, which is included, is incredible different every day. The staff is fantastic, very good at recommending restaurants. The bed was very comfortable, the AC got plenty cool (important for July in Savannah), and the bathroom was small but clean and plenty new. Our room (king over looking the courtyard) was small but good. If you want the touristy activities, they are within walking distance but far enough away that you can avoid then altogether. The Telfair and Jepson are within walking distance as well as quite a few of the historic homes. VERY close to excellent restaurants, cocktail lounges, and local shops.
